Pharmacy programs prepare students for careers in healthcare, focusing on the development, production and safe dispensing of medication. Core degrees include a 4-year Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.), 3-year Bachelor of Pharmacy (Lateral Entry) (B.Pharm. LE) and a 2-year Diploma (D.Pharm.).
Graduates are trained in pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology and patient care, qualifying them to work as pharmacists in hospitals, industry or retail.

B.Pharm. is a four-year professional program approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) divided into eight semesters that deals with the study of medicines. The core subjects include pharmaceutical chemistry (chemistry of medicinal compounds), pharmaceutics (manufacturing of dosage forms such as tablets, capsules etc.), pharmacology (action of drugs on the body and action of the body on the drugs) and pharmacognosy (medicinal drugs obtained from plants and other natural sources).
In addition to imparting classroom teaching, students of B.Pharm. are provided with clinical and community exposure so that they become active change-makers and solution providers in the healthcare domain. On-the-job training through internships and clinical rotations in pharmacies and healthcare facilities are also imparted to B Pharm. students, thereby helping them become eligible for licence exams to become registered pharmacists after successfully completing the programme.

Candidates must have passed the 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from a recognized state or central board, with English, and Physics, Chemistry and either Mathematics, Biology, or both as optional subjects. Any other qualification considered equivalent by the Pharmacy Council of India is also accepted.
Candidates must have passed a D. Pharm course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, as per Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.
Diploma in Pharmacy is an undergraduate Diploma course in Pharmaceutical Sciences offered by DBS School of Pharmacy & Research also known as D.Pharm. in the field of Pharmacy is approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). A person who has completed D.Pharm. can be employed as a registered pharmacist in a community pharmacy (wholesale or retail-medical store/chemists & druggists) or hospital pharmacy.
It is the minimum qualification to practice the pharmacy profession, therefore, it is mandatory that all dispensing of prescription medicines has to be done under the supervision of a pharmacist only. There are several avenues also available in the pharmaceutical industry. Pharmacy Diploma Qualifications are eligible to take admission in B Pharm 2nd year.
D. Pharm Program covers a range of subjects related to Pharmaceutical sciences and Pharmacy practice.

The eligibility criteria for admission to the D. Pharm program require that the candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination in the science stream with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, along with either Biology or Mathematics. The qualifying examination must be from a recognized board such as CBSE, ICSE, or any state board. Candidates are generally required to have secured minimum marks, as per the norms of the Pharmacy Council of India or the respective state authorities. The minimum age for admission is typically 17 years.
2-Year Full Time Postgraduate Program
M.Sc. Pharmaceutical chemistry is a two years' full time program to impart effective knowledge, practical training, technical skills and industrial skills in pharmaceutical chemistry including aspects of synthesis, formulation, analysis and quality assurance of various pharmaceutical ingredients. The university provides separate girl & boys housing, where upto 2000 students can stay at the DGU control residencies at any time.
Students have access to billiards pool tables, tt tables, badminton, carom boards etc for indoor sports. There are separate tv rooms, reading room & bonding rooms as students hangout areas. There is a pantry on each floor for small late night cooking. The subsidized laundry is mandatory for all students.
The mess provides hygienic and nutritious food to the students. The students decide the weekly menu according to which meals are prepared and served. Mess staff is conscious about the cleanliness and quality of food in a hygienic manner.
