D. Pharm provides hands-on training in dispensing, compounding, and patient counselling. Students gain exposure to hospital and community pharmacy settings, learning and handling of prescriptions and drug interactions. It enhances their understanding of pharmacological concepts through real-world application. This experience prepares them for professional roles in healthcare and medication management.
Graduates can register with the State Pharmacy Council, obtaining a license to practice as a registered pharmacist. A registered pharmacist can work as professional in community pharmacies, hospitals, pharmaceutical industries, and government sectors.
Individuals with a D. Pharm qualification can find employment in various healthcare settings, such as community pharmacies, hospital pharmacies, retail pharmacies, and pharmaceutical companies. Monitor and evaluate the safety of medications, ensuring adverse drug reactions are reported and analysed.
