Youth Cyber Security Awareness by DBS Global University, in collaboration with Amar Ujala & Uttarakhand Police
In collaboration with the Uttarakhand Police and Amar Ujala, DBS Global University organized an impactful awareness session for students, aimed at building a safer, smarter, and more responsible generation.
The session was designed with the Gen-Z student in mind—those who are not only navigating academics, but also engaging with an increasingly digital world. Through real-life examples, interactive discussions, and expert guidance, the event focused on four key areas:
- Legal Literacy & Student Rights : Students were briefed on the basic legal rights available to them, including how to respond to unsafe situations and seek support through proper legal channels.
- Cybercrime Awareness & Prevention : Officials from the Uttarakhand Police shed light on the growing risks in the digital landscape, including cyberbullying, online fraud, identity theft, and misuse of social media. The session included practical tips on how to identify red flags, avoid traps, and report incidents.
- Emergency Support Systems : Information on helpline numbers and emergency protocols was shared to ensure students know where to turn in case of immediate threats or concerns—both online and offline.
- Digital Responsibility & Online Conduct : With so much of a student's life now lived online, emphasis was placed on the importance of maintaining safe, respectful, and responsible digital behavior.
More than just an informational session, this initiative reflects DBS Global University’s ongoing commitment to holistic education—where personal development, safety, and civic responsibility are seen as essential parts of a student’s growth.
By creating spaces for dialogue between students and law enforcement, the university reinforces its role as an institution that not only imparts academic knowledge but also empowers students to become conscious, informed, and proactive members of society.
