Doon School of Liberal Studies
The Doon School of Liberal Studies at DBS Global University offers a dynamic and interdisciplinary education across the humanities, social sciences, and emerging fields. The school provides undergraduate programmes (3 year and 4-year Honours / Honours with Research / Honours with Startup) with various combinations of Dual Specialisation, along with postgraduate degrees including MA English Literature, MA Economics, and MA Psychology with diverse specializations, as well as Doctoral (PhD) programmes designed to foster advanced research and academic excellence.
The curriculum is built on the principles of flexibility, multidisciplinary learning, and skill development, allowing students to explore meaningful combinations across disciplines while aligning their studies with evolving career goals.
With a strong focus on experiential learning, industry integration, and academic rigor, the school also offers structured opportunities such as three progressive summer internships, Dissertations and Live Projects.
The school also offers integrated UPSC & IAS preparation support for BA Liberal Studies students. The programme includes structured guidance in General Studies, current affairs, and answer writing, along with regular mock tests and mentorship by experts. Students develop strong foundations in subjects like polity, history, economics, and ethics alongside their degree. Dedicated sessions focus on analytical thinking, essay writing, and interview preparation, ensuring holistic readiness for civil services. This integrated approach allows students to pursue academic excellence while systematically preparing for competitive examinations.
With over 22 student-led clubs and societies, the university promotes leadership, creativity, and collaboration beyond the classroom. Through its interdisciplinary approach, experiential learning, and industry engagement, the Doon School of Liberal Studies prepares students to become thoughtful scholars, creative professionals, and responsible global citizens.
