Faculty Training on Natural Farming Organised in Collaboration with Indian Council of Agricultural Research

Sustainability in agriculture cannot be taught through theory alone. It needs to be experienced, questioned, and reimagined. With this belief, the Doon School of Modern Agriculture at DBS Global University recently hosted a Faculty Training on Natural Farming, bringing educators closer to practices that are reshaping the future of agriculture.

The session moved beyond conventional discussions and focused on what truly matters today: restoring soil health, reducing chemical dependency, and building farming systems that work in harmony with nature. Faculty members explored how natural inputs, regenerative techniques, and mindful resource use can create long-term impact, both for farmers and the environment.

What made the training meaningful was its practical direction. It encouraged educators to rethink how agriculture is taught in classrooms and how sustainability can become a lived part of academic learning, not just a concept in textbooks.

The initiative also opened up conversations around responsibility. As educators, the role goes beyond delivering curriculum. It extends to shaping perspectives, influencing future professionals, and driving change where it matters most.

Through initiatives like these, DBS Global University continues to strengthen its focus on sustainability, ensuring that learning stays relevant, responsible, and rooted in real-world challenges.
