Joint Doctoral Programme (JDP) with International Universities

DBS Global University offers a Joint Doctoral Programme (JDP) in collaboration with reputed international universities and research institutions across the globe. The programme is designed to promote high-impact research, global academic integration, and collaborative supervision between DBS Global University and its international partners.

The Joint Doctoral Programme provides scholars with the opportunity to pursue advanced research under dual academic mentorship, enabling access to global research ecosystems, laboratories, industry networks, and interdisciplinary expertise.

Programme Structure

The Joint Doctoral Programme is structured to ensure academic rigor, international exposure, and research excellence. Key features include:

Joint Supervision Model Each doctoral scholar is guided by: One Research Supervisor from DBS Global University and One Co-Supervisor from the Partner International University
Research Framework The research proposal is jointly approved by both institutions, ensuring alignment with international research standards.
Mobility Component Scholars undertake a defined research residency at the partner university, subject to agreed timelines and academic requirements.

Shared Research Infrastructure Access to laboratories, libraries, databases, research centres, and innovation hubs at both institutions.
Joint Evaluation Process Thesis review, examination, and viva voce are conducted as per mutually agreed academic regulations of both universities.

Degree Award

A Jointly Awarded Doctoral Degree (single certificate carrying the names and insignia of both institutions),

A Dual Doctoral Degree (separate PhD degrees awarded by each institution), as per the terms of the specific collaboration agreement.

The Joint Doctoral Programme is available across multidisciplinary domains including but not limited to

Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline with required academic standing
Demonstrated research aptitude

Fulfilment of admission criteria of both DBS Global University and the Partner University
Language proficiency as applicable

Duration

Minimum Duration: As per doctoral regulations of DBS Global University

Maximum Duration: As per joint agreement norms

Research residency period at partner institution: Defined within programme framework
