The Music Club of DBS Global University, represented , the club in the festival of “Lohri” organized by DBS Global University. The event served as a platform for student from various courses to showcase their musical talent through live performances and celebrate the festival.

The main objectives of participation were:

  • To represent DBS Global University’s Music Club on the occasion of Lohri.
  • To celebrate the festival followed by DJ at the end.
  • To enhance team collaboration and stage performance skills among members.

Schedule of the Event:

The occasion began at 6 p.m and concluded at 8:00 p.m. on 13th January 2026. Eight students and few group from various courses participated in the occasion, each performing in different genres ranging from rock, hiphop, and fusion to classical blends.

Description of the Event:

Lohri is a traditional harvest festival celebrated primarily in North India, particularly in Punjab, marking the end of the winter season and welcoming the promise of spring . The festival commemorates the winter solstice and celebrates agricultural prosperity through bonfires, folk dances, traditional songs, and communal gatherings.
