The digital transformation of healthcare is accelerating, and the pharmaceutical sector is evolving alongside it. Against this backdrop, DBS School of Pharmacy & Research at the University recently hosted Pharma Anveshan 2026 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahadeva Lal Schroff, widely regarded as the father of pharmacy education in India.
The event was centred around the theme, “Future Pharma Ecosystem: Fostering Synergy among Academia, Industry, Research, Regulatory and Practice,” highlighting the growing need for collaboration across sectors to shape the future of healthcare and pharmaceutical sciences.
A key highlight of the program was an insightful guest lecture by Tajber Singh, Additional Commissioner at the Food Safety and Drug Administration Uttarakhand. He offered students a comprehensive perspective on drug regulation, pharmaceutical manufacturing standards, and the evolving regulatory framework in India, helping bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industry practices.
Mahendra Singh Bhandari, Vice Principal of Government Doon Paramedical College and President of the Indian Association of Radiographer and Technologist Uttarakhand Chapter, also graced the event. He shared valuable insights on interdisciplinary collaboration in healthcare and emerging professional pathways for students in allied health sciences.
Organised in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and Forestry, the event brought together academia, regulatory experts, and healthcare professionals on a common platform. It created an engaging learning environment for students to explore the future of the pharmaceutical ecosystem and understand the importance of integrated approaches in healthcare delivery.
Pharma Anveshan 2026 stands as a reflection of the University’s commitment to fostering industry-relevant education, encouraging research-driven thinking, and preparing students to contribute meaningfully to the global pharmaceutical and healthcare landscape.
