DBS Global University proudly celebrates a remarkable international research achievement by Parneet Kaur, a first-year student of the School of Advanced Computing (SOAC), whose research paper has been accepted at the International Joint Conference on Advances in Computational Intelligence (IJCACI 2026), hosted by Washington University of Science and Technology, USA.
The paper, titled "Towards Intelligent Ransomware Defence: A Computational-Intelligence-Driven Thematic Review of Detection, Forensics, and Recovery," has been accepted for publication in the conference proceedings and will soon be published by Springer and indexed in Scopus, one of the world's leading academic databases.
Conducted under the guidance of Prof. Merry K. P., the study presents a thematic review of how computational intelligence and artificial intelligence are transforming ransomware detection, digital forensics, and cyberattack recovery. By synthesising developments across the field, the research offers timely insight into one of the most pressing cybersecurity challenges facing organisations worldwide.
